    PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) is a high-performance engineering plastic belonging to the sulfone polymer family (including PSU and PES). It boasts excellent comprehensive properties and finds wide applications in high-end industrial and consumer product fields.

    Chemical Structure and Characteristics

    1. Chemical Name: Polyphenylsulfone resin

    2. Molecular Structure: Features a main chain with sulfonyl groups (-SO?-) and phenylene groups (-C?H?-), endowing it with strong molecular chain rigidity and outstanding thermal stability.

    3. Core Properties:

      • High Temperature Resistance: Long-term service temperature of ~180–200°C, with short-term tolerance to higher temperatures, superior to most engineering plastics (e.g., PC, PA).

      • Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Excellent tolerance to acids, alkalis, oils, solvents, and other chemicals, with low susceptibility to stress cracking.

      • High Strength and Rigidity: Stable mechanical properties, excellent impact and creep resistance, maintaining structural strength even at high temperatures.

      • Transparency: Some grades are transparent or translucent with high light transmittance (similar to PC).

      • Hygienic Safety: Compliant with FDA and EU food contact standards, suitable for medical and food applications.

      • Hydrolysis Resistance: Resistant to water absorption and degradation in high-temperature, high-humidity environments, suitable for steam sterilization (e.g., medical device disinfection).

    Primary Application Fields

    1. Medical Field:

      • Surgical instruments (e.g., handles, forceps), medical containers, dialyzer components, and dental equipment, leveraging its high-temperature resistance (autoclave-compatible) and corrosion resistance.

      • Baby bottles and nipples (替代傳統(tǒng) PC 材質(zhì),避免雙酚 A 風(fēng)險(xiǎn)).

    2. Aerospace and Automotive Industry:

      • Aircraft interior components (e.g., seat brackets, ventilation ducts) and automotive engine components (e.g., water pump casings, sensor housings), capable of withstanding high temperatures and fuel corrosion.

    3. Electronics and Appliances:

      • Heat-resistant electrical accessories such as coffee machine components, microwave tableware, and hair dryer casings; electronic components like integrated circuit board supports and connectors.
